Sampson on Da Beat

What made you start music?
I always used to have dreams as a preteen of being on stage in front of thousands. I remember writing a letter to 50 cent when I was like 9 (LOL). Fast forward to when I was 14 and I met emcee kilo aka rayne drop. He was one of the top rappers in the province, and became my best friend and mentor and taught me everything he knew about the game

How had the pandemic affected your music?

The pandemic is what helped create my brand. It truly is a thing when they say timing is everything. With the right ambition, not many other options, some proper branding techniques, I became one of the few Canadian producers to be the talk of the town so to speak.

What keeps you inspired to do music?

What keeps me inspired in music is the artists I work with. As a producer, it is a bit of a rush taking someone else’s vision and bringing it to reality. It always pushes me out of my comfort zone, and has lead to some of my best work.

Any shows coming up?

I do have a show in Vancouver coming up in the new year, date TBA

What do you appreciate most about your music career?

I appreciate first and foremost the relationships I’ve built with artists not only across the country but internationally. Second of all I appreciate that I get to do music full time, and they say if you love what you do you won’t work a day in your life and I approve this message.

Whats your advice to upcoming artists?

My advice to an up and comer would be to make sure your branding is up to par, be consistent, and don’t forget to invest into the actual release of a project

How do your fan support your music?

I’ve had fans buy beats even though they don’t rap just because they enjoy watching my journey, I’ve also had fans send me money for no reason at all strictly to support. Quick Shout out to all my fans! I love y’all! They also support by sharing my music, purchasing merch, and straight up just cheering for me. It’s such a blessing

Where can we find your music?

You can find my beats at www.SampsonOnDaBeat.shop, I’m also on all major platforms as well as an extensive amount of projects I produced for other people on YouTube if you just type in my name.

Any last words or thoughts?

I wanna thank you Anthony for the opportunity to share my story, all of my fans for the ongoing support, the artists that have grown to be like family to me, and last but not least, to the ones who paved the way to make it all possible
